Designed in mid-2019 in the engineering and physics labs of UFRGS by three engineers driven by a desire to innovate within the industry and healthcare sector, Vanellus's journey gained traction in 2021 with manufacturing and innovation support from key partners in the national industry.
We secured angel investment from NOVUS, a company with extensive experience in the development and commercialization of precision electronic products for measuring, controlling, and recording physical quantities.
We also established a partnership with SENAI and EMBRAPII under the Technological Development program to enhance the competitiveness of our technology.

In 2021, we completed our first angel investment round with NOVUS. Our partnership goes beyond financial support, extending to administrative/legal assistance, marketing, hardware development, and prototype manufacturing support.

EMBRAPII's mission is to contribute to the development of innovation in Brazil by investing in making resources available and promoting meetings between the productive sector and specialized research teams. We, together with EMBRAPII , believe that this is a way to increase the competitiveness of the national industry.

Unimed VTRP's healthcare startup accelerator
We participated in the VIBEE UNIMED VTRP acceleration program, where we had the opportunity to engage with various hospital directors and develop our business from a direct client perspective. When the program concluded, we were invited to become Vibee Residents—a selection of startups chosen by Vibee to be showcased and remain in contact.
Zenit and HESTIA Technology Incubator
Our story began in the HESTIA technology incubator, a startup incubator within UFRGS and part of ZENIT (UFRGS Technology Park). There, we achieved the first validation of our business, participated in various mentorships to mature our concept, and competed in the AcelerEA startup competition. That year, we were awarded as UFRGS Technology Park’s Best Business of 2019.
